FAQs
How long will it take to organize my space?
Since no two projects are the same, and we don’t always know what we will uncover, it’s hard to really estimate how long a project will take until we actually start doing the work. What if my mess is the worst you’ve ever seen? We have seen it all, from guns to pornography to rodents to food left in the fridge for months. There is nothing that will surprise or daunt us. We see this as an opportunity to help you break old habits that no longer serve you and establish new ones that will help you live a more simple, stress free life. We do not pass judgment. How often do you come? Getting organized is a continuous process until we get the project done. Clients schedule several sessions, during which we work on different aspects of your home or business, until we get to the point where you can maintain the systems we implement. We work with your schedule. We can come weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. You’re in charge and we will work with whatever schedule you’re comfortable with. Can you write an assessment so I can do the work on my own? Our philosophy is that we work one-on-one with you so you can learn the tools needed to apply to current and future projects. We like to have you there so you can decide what is important to you based on what you use, love, and want. Will I have to throw out all my stuff? No, we let you set the pace. While we are there to guide you through the organizing process, you are the ultimate decision maker as to whether something should stay or go. We will not make you throw out all your stuff and we will never force you to throw anything away unless we feel it is unsafe. Will it be like those shows on TV? Only if we bring a team of 12 other consultants and a construction team! We will work together over several sessions to establish customized systems that work for you. Should I purchase containers or other supplies before you come? We recommend waiting until the end of project to purchase containers and supplies. That way we will know exactly what we are storing, how much of it there is, and how we want to store it. |
